Date:
14 February / 2012

We're delighted to say Cork Simon Community has been selected as ARAMARK Munster Charity for 2012.

Each year, ARAMARK Ireland employees are asked to nominate charities from their local area.

Many thanks to ARAMARK and to their staff for this nomination. It’s only through the help, the hard work and the belief of people such as the staff at ARAMARK that Cork Simon is able to reach out to everyone that turns to us for help.

StreetSmart is Back!

Date:
1 December / 2011

Two euro doesn’t buy much these days. But there’s power in numbers and all those two euros donated by individuals through StreetSmart over the last six years has amounted to over €34,000 being raised in support of people who are homeless in Cork.

From December 1st, StreetSmart kicks into action again across Cork city and county for the seventh year in a bid to raise funds for Good Shepherd Services and Cork Simon Community.

Date:
25 November / 2011

The extension at Clanmornin House, completed in June 2011, brings the number of high support beds provided by Cork Simon Community for people who are very sick, long term homeless and in need of round-the-clock care to 47 and represents an important step in addressing long term homelessness in Cork. It also means that three more people who were previously long term homeless now have a place to call home.
