Corporate Volunteering

There are currently more than 1,000 people actively volunteering for Cork Simon Community. Volunteers founded Cork Simon 40 years ago and remain at the heart of all that we do.

Many companies in Cork support their employees to spend a day or more volunteering as a group at one of Cork Simon’s projects. The experience is a rewarding one for all – it helps build teamwork and enhance employee loyalty; it helps Cork Simon to maintain the best possible care, housing and support for people who are homeless, it offers an opportunity for residents at the projects to interact with the wider community, helping to build confidence and social skills.

So far groups of volunteers from companies in Cork have helped to paint and decorate rooms in some of our high-support houses, have helped to clear gardens, have helped to build vegetable plots, growing tunnels, and so much more.
