Fundraising Ideas

Marathons
Form a company team, or run individually, for a marathon such as the Cork Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon or the Dublin City Marathon. Or what about a marathon abroad?

Events
Host an event - it could be a bar-b-que or a Black Tie Ball, or just a night out bowling. The more people you get involved in organising and participating in the event, the more fun it can be.

Sandwich Runner
How many of your colleagues wouldn't donate a Euro or two to have a trusty runner to fetch their sandwiches? Concierge Service. You don't have to stop at sandwiches! Some companies employ a 'concierge' to pick up employee's dry-cleaning, do their grocery shopping, etc. Definitely worth a contribution.

Dress-Down or Denim Day
An old but trusted fundraiser. Have staff pay to come to work in jeans. Or, if your company dress code is informal, have them dress-up for a day.

Sponsored Event
Walk, bike, tour, run, climb. Get lots of employees to participate - and even more to sponsor you! Ask your company to match the amount you raise. It's a good idea to get a senior executive or member of staff to participate - that way chances are you'll get plenty of corporate support! Don't forget to ask company vendors to support you.

Office Sweepstake
Hold an Office Sweepstake around events like the Grand National, the Oscars, the Six Nations, Cheltenham, etc.

Table Quiz
An old favourite, but still great fun - and they work! Most pubs will give you a room for free, knowing they'll make money on the bar.

Race Night
Another proven fundraiser that works well for a corporate group. Get a pub to give you a room for free. Work with a Race Night vendor (you'll find plenty under Entertainment Agencies in the Yellow Pages) who will organise a screen and some virtual races, etc.

Our Fundraising Team will be only too happy to discuss any of these ideas in more detail with you, or perhaps you have an idea of your own.
