Community Partnerships Manager (Permanent contract, 35 hours per week)
Working to the Cork Simon Fundraising Strategy and as a member of the Fundraising team, the Community Partnerships Manager will achieve targets by developing, maintaining and optimising partnerships with groups, organisations, educational institutions, etc in Cork and Kerry. S/he will contribute to the development of, and manage and implement, relevant elements of Cork Simon Community’s Fundraising Strategy.
Key tasks include:
• Contribute to the ongoing development of, and implement, existing Community partnerships, strategy and operational plan
• Ensure targets are achieved and activities are delivered within agreed expenditure budgets
• Review and evaluate existing Community Fundraising activities
• Identify, develop and deliver a range of fundraising activities and events for implementation by Cork Simon internally and by volunteers and supporters externally
• In consultation with the Campaigns & Communications Team devise and implement a Plan to optimise Fundraising-related social media and other online activity and profile in line with Cork Simon’s overall Social Media goals and objectives
• Review and evaluate Fundraising Volunteer activities, expectations and satisfaction levels
• Ensure in-house and externally organised Fundraising events and activities are organised and delivered in an effective, appropriate and timely fashion
• Maintain accurate records of donations, contacts, correspondence and activities on Raisers Edge in a timely and appropriate manner

Cork Simon Community has vacancies for the following part-time posts on our FAS Community Employment (CE) Programme:
Housekeeping Assistant – Homeless Emergency Support Service (HESS)
The objective of the Housekeeping Assistant (HESS) is to carry out cleaning, kitchen, laundry and other housekeeping duties as scheduled on weekly rota. The Housekeeping Assistant will be based in Anderson’s Quay, Cork.
Some of the key tasks involved in the role are as follows:
- Participate in a rota of cleaning duties (including: cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, buffing floors, hallways and communal rooms; general cleaning of building)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort and hygiene in communal areas and in individual rooms
- Maintain the efficient running of the laundry and stores (duties include operation of industrial washers and dryers, use of detergents and bleach, collection and handling of used blankets and bed linen, folding and storage of clean laundry.)
- Kitchen work: Handling, storage, moving and preparation of large food stocks (for up to 160 meals per day.) Working within HACCP framework (cleaning, storage, preparation, packing and serving of food, following kitchen hygiene and safety standards, etc.)

Administrative Assistant
The objective of the Administrative Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Homeless Emergency Support Service (HESS) Administrator, HESS Assistant Manager and Head of HESS. The Administrative Assistant will be based in the Cork Simon Community Anderson’s Quay Complex, Cork. Some of the key tasks involved in the role are as follows:
- Provide support in printing, photocopying, scanning, laminating and binding of documents (e.g. Induction packs & signs and posters).
- Assist in the management of filing and the storing of records as per legal requirements (e.g. Timesheets, Health & Safety reports, shift reports and housekeeping, cleaning and kitchen records).
- Assist in the handling of residents’ contributions, counting and collecting cash given by residents on a daily basis and drafting a weekly report on totals
- Assist in the management of petty cash on a daily basis, counting of cash and cross-referencing records of petty cash book and individual receipts
- Assist in process of generating statistics on use of the HESS projects through data entry on Microsoft Excel and the Cork Simon Database (e.g. records of residents stay and access to storage)
- Assist with the development of handbook version of project policies, procedures and forms using Microsoft Word and other programmes
