Christmas Jumper Record Break Attempt

We need your help to break the national record for the most Christmas Jumpers in one place!

Will you put on your festive finest and join the

Douglas Street Business Association in a

record breaking attempt for the most people wearing Christmas Jumpers in one place?


The national record is 1513 people wearing jumpers so please don your winter woollies and join us
on Sunday, 10 December from 4.00pm – 7.00pm
Red FM Presenter Colm O’Sullivan will be MCing the record breaking attempt.
Some of the events on the day include:
  • Nano Nagle Place will be open all day and a choir will perform at 4.00pm/4.30pm.
  • Lighting of the crib along with carols from another choir and hot chocolate at 5.00pm
  • Various Douglas Street businesses will be hosting music and food along the street between 5.00pm and 6.00pm.
  • The balloons/signposts and elves will direct people towards Murphy’s Yard – where the record attempt will take place
  • Registration desk will be open from 5.30pm with the record attempt happening at 6.30pm.
  • The lights on the tree at Langford Hall will be switched on at 7.00pm
  • Red Patrollers will be on hand for the record attempt
