How do I return the money I have raised from my fundraiser?

You can return the money raised at your fundraiser through our DONATE PAGE.

Please be sure to use your group / company name in the reference field and details of your fundraiser so we know where the money is coming from.



I am organising an Online Event in aid of Cork Simon for my workplace. How do I get my friends / colleagues involved?

What is Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day?

Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day is an annual fundraising campaign that facilitates people taking action on homelessness here in Cork during the Winter.

Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day helps fund our Services for men and women experiencing homelessness here in Cork.

The 2022 Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day will be the 10th year of our annual campaign. In the nine years to-date, Christmas Jumper Day has raised nearly €900,000, which has had a positive influence on the lives of men and women experiencing homelessness and depending on our services for help.



When does Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day take place?

Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day runs throughout the months of November and December each year. The companies, community members, individuals and schools taking part choose a date in November or December that suits them. 

There are Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Days happening across Cork city and county every day throughout November and December.

I would like to donate - how can I send my contribution?

ONLINE: Donating online is the easiest option. You can make a one-time donation to Christmas Jumper Day or monthly donation online using any major credit card or direct debit HERE.

BY MAIL: Please send cheques, bank drafts or postal orders to: Jumper Day HQ, Cork Simon Community, St. Nicholas House, Cove St., Cork.

We will send you a receipt by post for cheque or money order donations.

I held a Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser - how do I return my money?

ONLINE FUNDRAISER: You can also set-up your own fundraising page under the Jumper day campaign on I Donate HERE - you can share it with your friends and colleagues if they wish to support your initiative and donate too.

DIRECT DONATION: Online is the easiest and most secure way to send in the money you collect from your supporters. You can use any major credit card HERE. Remember to select Christmas Jumper Day from the drop down menu.

Please note: If you are returning money raised through a Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser, you are not able to claim a tax deduction for the contribution amount.



Can I use Payroll Giving to make a regular contribution from my pay towards Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day?

Yes. If your employer operates a payroll giving scheme then you can set up a regular deduction from your pay and request that it comes to Cork Simon Christmas Jumper Day. Please ask your employer for more information.

I don’t know my PPS Number. Where can I find it?

You can find it on your payslip, or on your personal tax or social welfare documents.

 

Will you share my private information?

No. Your personal information is stored securely and will be used for the sole purpose of reclaiming tax

on your generous gifts. Visit our full Privacy Statement.

 

How much will Cork Simon be able to claim back from my gift(s)?

45% on the total of your taxable donations, if you've given €250 or more in a calendar year, in one or

more of the last 5 years.

 

Will filling out the form affect my tax status?

Don't worry, it won’t! The form is simply to allow us to claim tax relief on your kind gift(s).
