Emergency

If you or someone you know is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, please contact our Emergency Shelter on: 021 4278 728

Outreach

Our Outreach Team works on the street and from our Day Service, supporting people sleeping rough, surviving in squats or those who have no other option but to stay with friends – people on the very edge of homelessness.

Emergency Accomodation

Our Emergency Shelter on Anderson’s Quay, in the heart of Cork’s city centre, provides round-the-clock temporary accommodation and one-to one support. An additional Night Light service operates each night from 11.00pm

Night light

Our Night Light emergency accommodation service operates each night from our Day Service from 11.00pm. The Night Light consists of mattresses on the floor – while not ideal, it offers people a better alternative to sleeping rough on the streets.

Day Service

Our Day Service on Anderson’s Quay is in use around-the-clock. It is home to a range of services, including a specialist health team, our Rough Sleeper Service, our Night Light emergency accommodation, and our Employment and Training Service.

Health Team

Cork’s Adult Homeless Integrated Health Team of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals works specifically with people sleeping rough or staying in emergency accommodation, many of whom experience poor mental and physical health.

Soup Run

Our Soup Run was Cork Simon’s first ever service back in 1971 and, thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers, continues to operate every night of the year. A hot meal, a listening ear, and an opportunity to link-in

FEAD

Cork Simon Community participates in the EU’s FEAD programme in Ireland. The programme aims to support people on the margins of society, including people experiencing homelessness and long-term rough sleepers.

European Social Fund Plus (ESF+)

Cork Simon Community benefits from the ESF+ Food & Basic Material Support, which helps support people take their first steps out of poverty and social exclusion. The programme provides non-perishable food to families and individuals in need.
