Marjorie Clohessy is a member of the Cork Simon Women’s Little Christmas Lunch voluntary organising committee. Marjorie shares her experiences as a Cork Simon fundraising volunteer.

“I've been part of the Ladies Lunch committee for five years. There's six of us on the committee. We are all volunteers and we’re all good buddies really.

Talking to people that go to the lunch every year, people are very aware that we are organising a day out so we can help other ladies that might not be as fortunate as us.

It's a celebration of women; women helping women, women enjoying women and women doing something for the homeless women of Cork city.

The atmosphere is electric from start to finish. There's definitely a feel-good factor to helping other women."
